O LA VITTORIA
Objective: Capture St. Anastasia ChurchChallenge: Join the fight as an Arditi Elite Troop in O La Vittoria
This is the shortest of the War Stories, and is much easier to complete than the previous chapter. Players take on the rule of an Italian shock trooper, known as the Arditi. This means that, throughout this entire section, you”ll be permanently wearing the helmet you see now. So get used to wearing it. Otherwise, this is atypical infantry warfare. Get on the objectives and take out enemies when you can. To start the battle off, head towards the church in the distance, at Objective A. Entering the vicinity of the objective will complete the above challenge.

Challenge: Defeat 5 enemies with grenades in O La Vittoria
As you approach the objective, start working towards the next challenge; getting five kills with grenades. The Arditi have eight to start with, so you should be able to grab at least a few kills in the process of taking the objective, if not all of them. Though your armor protects from quite a bit of damage, you still need to be careful when taking the point. You are not immune to fire, so be careful with the flame trooper as well. Once the outside forces are cleared away, enter the fort and hold the objective. Once finished, the mission will update.
Objective: Assault artillery gun
Exit the church and head towards the new objective, but be sure to stop at the building to the left of the road.
O La Vittoria – Field Manual #1
As you approach the building, the enemy artillery will collapse the roof. Try not to get hurt in the process. As the dust settles, you should be able to see the field manual crate up against the wall.
Continue down the road until you come across a few armored trucks. Switch to your AT grenades (using
) to take them out. Then you can head up the hill towards the next objective. Before you get there, there are two field manuals we need to pick up. Both of these collectibles are located in small trench-lines. Which makes them a bit difficult to describe, so bear with me. The first of the two is near the bottom of the mountain, almost in-line with the objective icon.
O La Vittoria – Field Manual #2
Once you find the location, approach the trench, and straight ahead will be the field manual. Collect it, and then start making your way up to the next manual.
O La Vittoria – Field Manual #3
The second field manual is closer to the halfway point on the mountain, in yet another trench. If you climb the mountain from the previous field manual and then turn right, it should be the first trench you come across. The field manual is in the corner of said trench.
With both of these field manuals collected, now we can head up towards the objective. Traverse through the trenches, killing enemies when need be. Don”t forget to get additional grenade kills if you still need them. Otherwise, just keep going until you reach the artillery gun, and a new objective will appear.
Objective: Destroy artillery gun
Head inside the fort through any entrance you wish and take out the last remaining enemies. Once they”re down, you need to use explosives to destroy the artillery gun. Any kind will due, but don”t stand too close to the gun itself. If you don”t have any explosives on you, just outside in the trenches is some dynamite. It should take about two or three explosives to finish off the weapon. But after, that you”ll get your new objective.
O La Vittoria – Field Manual #4
Before leaving the fort, look into the corner to the right of the entrance, where there”s a stack of boxes. Beside the boxes is a small field manual crate.
Objective: Disable anti-aircraft gun
Once finished, head up the hillside to reach the anti-aircraft weapon. Kill any enemies along the way, as expected. Before heading down the slope, past the machine gun, stop at the trench-line at the top of the hill.
O La Vittoria – Field Manual #5
This is the only trench past the artillery gun, so it should be easy to spot. It”s to the right of the road as you reach the machine gun mentioned above. Look at the end of the trench-line to find the final field manual of the section.
Challenge: Collect all the field manuals in O La Vittoria
You should now have all of the field manuals in this section. Now you can head down the hill to get to the AA gun. Just approach the weapons to start up the cutscene, and you will then take control of the gun.
Objective: Destroy enemy bombers
Target the enemy planes and eliminate them to continue. Though it”s a rather simple objective to complete, you can take a lot of damage by planes that are crashing to the ground and by the bombers themselves. Try to destroy them well away from you to keep out of harm. Once a plane has passed, ignore it and focus on the next one. Try to aim in front of them instead of at them. It might take a few tries, but it should be doable. Though it does less damage overall, I recommend zooming in to properly target the bombers. Just ignore the other planes that are around; they”re no threat to you.
Once all the bombers are destroyed, a cutscene will begin, and the next section will start.
O TUTTI ACCOPPATI
Objective: Search for MatteoChallenge: Witness the explosion of the mountain side in O Tutti Accoppati
As soon as you begin the section, you”ll see the mountainside ahead of you, and a challenge will immediately unlock for witnessing the destruction. Now you”ll need to find your twin brother in the remains. Head into the trenches below to begin, and get out your sidearm to start the next challenge.
Objective: Defend Alpini OutpostChallenge: Defeat 10 enemies with your sidearm in O Tutti Accoppati
Be very careful when attacking enemies. You no longer have the increased health that you did with the armor. So now you”re incredibly vulnerable when out in the open. When heading into the trenches, you are free to either sneak by the enemies, or take them out as you go. I recommend the second option, as you need at least 10 sidearm kills before the end of the mission. So use these first three enemies as a chance to start collecting them. In addition to this, the sidearm has limited ammo so make your shots count, and always aim for the head. If you don”t happen to get all 10 of your kills in, you can always reload the section later, on easy. I died during my playthrough and was able to respond with a bit more ammo, which allowed me to get the codex challenge that way as well.
Before getting too far down into the trenches, head to the very far right, and follow the boundary line down the hill.
O Tutti Accoppati – Field Manual #1
As you”re following the boundary line, you”ll be able toDes see a house just below the cliff. Don”t head down just yet; there are enemies to kill first. But once they”re dead, you can head inside. On the ground by the entrance is a field manual crate.
Once you”re finished in the house, head to the objective. There are numerous explosives inside the ruined building; grab them if you don”t have any on-hand. You”ll need to destroy armored cars once the spawn. I”d recommend taking cover inside the ruined house, as going anywhere outside is almost a surefire way to die. There are three cars to get rid of before you can advance to the next objective.
Objective: Search for Matteo
There are now two different locations that you can head to. Go to the closest one first: the trenches. As you”re heading down the path, you”re going to want to enter the bunker ahead.
O Tutti Accoppati – Field Manual #2
As you enter the bunker, immediately look to your right. past the dead body and against a few crates is a field manual.
Exit the bunker and head towards the next objective. Be careful on your way, as the artillery can do a lot of damage. In addition to artillery, there are also at least two flame troopers, and an artillery truck on the bridge. Get rid of the truck for sure, but you can run around the flame troopers if need be. If you”re having a hard time getting to the other side of the map, try going underneath the bridge, or to the far left or far right of the map. Once you cross over, try finding some immediate cover. There will also be a few manned machine guns on the forts that are out-of-bounds, but you can still shoot them down. Approaching the fort will update your objective.
Objective: Search for Matteo inside the fort
Enter the fort from any entrance and then stop, as we need to find two more field manuals.
O Tutti Accoppati – Field Manual #3
As you”re heading up, towards the fort, take the right path. You want to go as far right as possible, to the corner of the map. You”ll know when you”re heading in the right direction when you see an entrance to the bunker and an icon that labels it a supply cache. Go inside, and in the enclosed corner will be a field manual.
O Tutti Accoppati – Field Manual #4
Once you have the previous field manual, you can exit the bunker and enter the objective area by going through the door below, in the trenches. There is more than one entrance here, so you may not end up following the same path as the walkthrough; it”ll be fine. You will either:
End up on the top floor, where a new objective will appearEnd up on the bottom floor, in the bunker with enemies
You can either take out the enemies first, or head into the bunker first. It doesn”t matter. But there”s a field manual inside the bunker, so you need to grab it after the fight if you don”t grab it now.
If you”re heading through the bunker from below: regardless of which entrance you use, there will be a hallway and a flight of steps. Climb the stairs to the next floor, and then turn to look around the room. There will be some beds lined up on the wall, and a field manual in between two of them. Then you can go up top to clear the enemies.
Objective: Clear the Austrian Horn
I would recommend staying down below and taking shots from the stairs, as there are far too many enemies to survive long on the upper ground. There”s also a sentry up top, which you will need to kill using the anti-tank grenades in the box beside you. You can also fire at him, but he has twice as much health as a normal soldier, so it”s much easier to get rid of him with explosives. Once they”re all dead, head up the steps to update your objective.
If you”re heading through the bunker from above: your mission will update as soon as you enter the battle, so just kill the enemies in front of you. As said above, you want to target the sentry with explosives and keep in cover. Once it”s over, there”s a set of stairs in the center of the area. Climb down and head into the fort for the next field manual. You will come across a room with beds, with the field manual between two of them.
Objective: Find MatteoO Tutti Accoppati – Field Manual #5
After you”ve finished the battle and collected the field manual, stop. Do not go through the door ahead, as it will end the mission. Look to your right, at the building next to you. Do not go inside it, but instead, walk around it. On the farthest entrance of the back wall, there will be a field manual crate.
Challenge: Collect all field manuals in O Tutti AccoppatiChallenge: Complete Avanti Savoia!
With the field manuals challenge complete, there should only be one codex entry left, and it”s to complete the chapter. Now you can head through the door to start the next cutscene. With Avanti Savoia! completed, you should now unlock two achievements.
