What do men think of breast implants? Though not a common question that a cosmetic surgeon will hear directly, we understand that this question is something that plays on the minds of the patients who undergo breast augmentation.
You are watching: Do breast implants feel real
Safety, pain, and overall feeling are the most common clarifications plastic surgeons make and that will always be expected. When it comes to touch, patients want to know what a breast implant feels like to men, if it is noticeable, and if that even matters?
Can Men Tell If You Have Implants?
Well, sometimes, yes. We have to admit to ourselves that even we can tell if someone has had surgery. Sometimes, though, we assume they have when they haven’t or vice versa, that they have not had surgery when they have. So, basically, sometimes we can tell, other times we can’t, and sometimes we’re just mistaken either way.
The size increase, the material used, and the profile of the lift can all factor in how “noticeable” your implants are.
There is no way to tell and most modest increases in breast size will not be as readily noticeable as a 4 letter jump in cup size. The important factor to consider is if you will notice and how you will feel after the surgery. Though breast implant surgery is a cosmetic procedure, it will have a profound and positive affect on your self-image.
Do Breast Implants Feel Different to the Touch to a Man?
Can you feel implants and can men feel them too? You will feel the increased size and area of your chest after the surgery and you will have some sensation of the actual breast implant.
The feeling will depend completely on the solution used (saline or silicone), the size of the implant in relation to the original breast size as well as the placement. Scar tissue can also affect touch.
The truth is that it varies, but for the most part it’s safe to assume that they will feel some remnant of the surgery if not the implant itself. The real question is, do they care?
What Do Men Think of Breast Implants?
This is a split result! Overall it comes down to personal preference. A 2016 study released by the St.-Josef-Hospital in Bochum, Germany found that “about half of men nowadays accept artificially enlarged breasts in women.”
It’s a 50/50 split. The reasons why some men may like or dislike breast implants in women they are pursuing varies as well.
The truth is that you should feel comfortable in your own skin and make this decision for yourself first. Though we understand the need to answer the question, we would like to pose an alternative to the question: what do men think of breast implants?
Instead, we ask that you consider this question: what would you do if a man you liked did not approve of your breast implants? Imagine the scenario as clearly as you can. Then take your next step.
